In this paper we include spin and multipole moment effects in the formalism used to describe the motion of extended objects recently introduced in hep-th/0409156. A suitable description for spinning bodies is developed and spin-orbit, spin-spin and quadrupole-spin Hamiltonians are found at leading order. The existence of tidal, as well as self induced finite size effects is shown, and the contribution to the Hamiltonian is calculated in the latter. It is shown that tidal deformations start…
NLO gravitational quartic-in-spin interaction
In this paper we derive for the first time the complete gravitational quartic-in-spin interaction of generic compact binaries at the next-to-leading order in the post-Newtonian (PN) expansion. The
Gravitational radiation from inspiralling compact objects: Spin effects to fourth Post-Newtonian order
The linearand quadratic-in-spin contributions to the binding potential and gravitational-wave flux from binary systems are derived to next-to-next-to-leading order in the Post-Newtonian (PN)
Gravitational radiation from inspiralling compact objects: Spin-spin effects completed at the next-to-leading post-Newtonian order
Using the gravitational potential and source multipole moments bilinear in the spins, first computed to next-to-leading order (NLO) in the post-Newtonian (PN) expansion within the effective field
Quadratic-in-spin interactions at fifth post-Newtonian order probe new physics
We obtain all quadratic-in-spin interactions in spinning binaries at the third subleading order in post-Newtonian (PN) gravity, and provide their observable binding energies and their gaugeinvariant
Gravitational radiation from inspiralling compact objects: Complete spin-orbit and spin-spin effects to fourth Post-Newtonian order
The linearand quadratic-in-spin contributions to the binding potential and gravitational-wave flux from binary systems are derived to fourth Post-Newtonian (4PN) order, including finite-size as well
NNNLO gravitational spin-orbit coupling at the quartic order in G
In this paper we derive for the first time the NNNLO gravitational spin-orbit coupling at the quartic order in G in the post-Newtonian (PN) approximation. This represents the first computation in a
N3LO gravitational spin-orbit coupling at order G4
Abstract In this paper we derive for the first time the N3LO gravitational spin-orbit coupling at order G4 in the post-Newtonian (PN) approximation within the effective field theory (EFT) of
Gravitational Bremsstrahlung and Hidden Supersymmetry of Spinning Bodies
The recently established formalism of a worldline quantum field theory, which describes the classical scattering of massive bodies in Einstein gravity, is generalized up to quadratic order in spin —
Spinning gravitating objects in the effective field theory in the post-Newtonian scheme
A bstractWe introduce a formulation for spinning gravitating objects in the effective field theory in the post-Newtonian scheme in the context of the binary inspiral problem. We aim at an effective
Gravitational cubic-in-spin interaction at the next-to-leading post-Newtonian order
In this work we derive for the first time the complete gravitational cubic-in-spin effective action at the next-to-leading order in the post-Newtonian (PN) expansion for the interaction of generic
