Almost all of the existing routing protocols are designed based on a simplistic and idealistic physical layer model, and with minimum hop count as the metric for route selection. Without modification, they cannot work well with a realistic physical layer. A position-based stateless routing protocol with greedy forwarding is proposed for multihop WPANs based on a realistic OFDM UWB physical layer.
