The dark photon and the axion (or axionlike particle) are popular light particles of the hidden sector. Each of them has been actively searched for through the couplings called the vector portal and the axion portal. We introduce a new portal connecting the dark photon and the axion (axion-photon-dark photon, axion-dark photon-dark photon), which emerges in the presence of the two particles. This dark axion portal is genuinely new couplings, not just from a product of the vector portal and the… Expand

Cosmological Relaxation through the Dark Axion Portal
The dark axion portal is a coupling of an axion-like particle to a dark photon kinetically mixed with the visible photon. We show how this portal, when applied to the relaxion, can lead toExpand
Implications of the dark axion portal for the muon g−2 , B factories, fixed target neutrino experiments, and beam dumps
The dark axion portal is a recently introduced portal between the standard model and the dark sector. It connects both the dark photon and the axion (or axionlike particle) to the photonExpand
Implications of the dark axion portal for SHiP and FASER and the advantages of monophoton signals
We investigate the implications of the dark axion portal interaction, the axion-photon-dark photon vertex, for the future experiments SHiP and FASER. We also study the phenomenology of the combinedExpand
Hidden photon dark matter interacting via axion-like particles
We investigate a scenario where the dark matter of the Universe is made from very light hidden photons transforming under a Z 2-symmetry. In contrast to the usual situation, kinetic mixing isExpand
Probing dark-axionlike particle portals at future e+e− colliders
We study portal interactions connecting visible and dark sectors, and involving local interactions of a photon, a dark photon and a axion-like particle (ALP) at future $e^+e^-$ colliders. TheseExpand
Opening up the QCD axion window
A bstractWe present a new mechanism to deplete the energy density of the QCD axion, making decay constants as high as fa ≃ 1017 GeV viable for generic initial conditions. In our setup, the axionExpand
Relic abundance of dark photon dark matter
We present a new mechanism for producing the correct relic abundance of dark photon dark matter over a wide range of its mass, extending down to $10^{-20}\,\mathrm{eV}$. The dark matter abundance isExpand
Detecting the stimulated decay of axions at radio frequencies
Assuming axion-like particles account for the entirety of the dark matter in the Universe, we study the possibility of detecting their decay into photons at radio frequencies. We discuss differentExpand
Extension of the electrodynamics in the presence of the axion and dark photon
We present the extended electrodynamics in the presence of the axion and dark photon. We derive the extended versions of Maxwell’s equations and dark Maxwell’s equations (for both massive andExpand
Cosmological abundance of the QCD axion coupled to hidden photons
Abstract We study the cosmological evolution of the QCD axion coupled to hidden photons. For a moderately strong coupling, the motion of the axion field leads to an explosive production of hiddenExpand

Dark Matter through the Axion Portal
Motivated by the galactic positron excess seen by PAMELA and ATIC/PPB-BETS, we propose that dark matter is a TeV-scale particle that annihilates into a pseudoscalar 'axion'. The positron excess andExpand
Massive hidden photons as lukewarm dark matter
We study the possibility that a keV-MeV mass hidden photon (HP), i.e. a hidden sector U(1) gauge boson, accounts for the observed amount of dark matter. We focus on the case where the HP interactsExpand
WISPy cold dark matter
Very weakly interacting slim particles (WISPs), such as axion-like particles (ALPs) or hidden photons (HPs), may be non-thermally produced via the misalignment mechanism in the early universe andExpand
Dark light, dark matter, and the misalignment mechanism
We explore the possibility that the dark matter is a condensate of a very light vector boson. Such a condensate could be produced during ination, provided the vector mass arises via the SteuckelbergExpand
Illuminating dark photons with high-energy colliders
A bstractHigh-energy colliders offer a unique sensitivity to dark photons, the mediators of a broken dark U(1) gauge theory that kinetically mixes with the Standard Model (SM) hypercharge. DarkExpand
Bosonic super-WIMPs as keV-scale dark matter
We consider models of light superweakly interacting cold dark matter, with O(10-100) keV mass, focusing on bosonic candidates such as pseudoscalars and vectors. We analyze the cosmological abundance,Expand
A theory of dark matter
 > 1GeV 1 . The long range allows a Sommerfeld enhancement to boost the annihilation cross section as required, without altering the weak-scale annihilation cross section during dark matterExpand
Mini force: The $(B-L)+xY$ gauge interaction with a light mediator
The relevant phenomenology and the best search schemes of a subelectroweak-scale gauge boson can be vastly different depending on its coupling. For instance, the rare decay into a light gauge bosonExpand
Higgs decays as a window into the dark sector
A light vector boson, Z_d, associated with a "dark sector" U(1)_d gauge group has been introduced to explain certain astrophysical observations as well as low energy laboratory anomalies. In suchExpand
Axions, Domain Walls, and the Early Universe
Axion models have a spontaneously broken Z{A) symmetry. The resulting discretely degenerate vacua and domain-wall solitons are incompatible with the standard cosmology. It is possible, however, toExpand
