Abstract An improved method has been developed for computing a pore distribution curve from the nitrogen desorption isotherm at −195 °C based on the basic assumptions of Barrett, Joyner, and Halenda and Wheeler. Satisfactory agreement was obtained between surface areas computed by the present method and the BET equation.
