OBJECTIVES To investigate the population pharmacokinetics of cefuroxime in critically ill patients. METHODS In this observational pharmacokinetic study, multiple blood samples were taken over one dosing interval of intravenous cefuroxime. Blood samples were analysed using a validated ultra HPLC tandem mass spectrometry technique.
