Population data of 15 short tandem repeat (STR) loci were determined from 500 unrelated Latvian individuals. The samples were amplified using the AmpFlSTR® NGMTM PCR Amplification Kit and the PowerPlex® ESX 16 System. No significant deviation from the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium was detected, except for locus D3S1358.
