Population dynamics and fishery status of the roughear scad, Decapterus tabl Berry 1968 caught from Camotes Sea, Central Philippines were investigated. Asymptotic length (L∞) was 32.55 cm while growth coefficient (K) was 0.97 year -1 . Total mortality (Z) was 5.57 year -1 while natural mortality (M) and fishing mortality (F) were 1.71 year -1 and 3.86 year -1 respectively. Exploitation level (E) was 0.69. The length at which 50% of the fish were retained by the gear (L50) was 17.48 cm. The…

Population dynamics of Indian scad (Decapterus russelli) in the northern and western waters of Aceh
TLDR
Results show that D. russelli in the northern and western waters of Aceh has been fully exploited, and has a positive allometric growth pattern, with a fork length ranging from 19.5-31.5 cm.

TLDR
The body shape of both males and females showed isometric growth patterns indicating that all body dimensions grew at the same rate, and the regression coefficient was significantly different between the sexes.
First record of slender red scad, Decapterus smithvanizi (Actinopterygii: Perciformes: Carangidae), from the Philippines
Ten specimens (187.3–226.9 mm standard length) of slender red scad, Decapterus smithvanizi Kimura, Katahira et Kuriiwa, 2013, previously reported from the Andaman Sea, South China Sea, Taiwan, Japan,

Fishery and population dynamics of two species of carangids, Decapterus russelli (Ruppell, 1830) and Megalaspis cordyla (Linnaeus, 1758) from Mumbai waters
TLDR
The results indicate that there is a threat of stock depletion of D. russelli in Mumbai waters.
Observations on some aspects of biology and population dynamics of the Scad Decapterus Russelli (Ruppell)(Carangidae) in the trawling grounds off Kakinada
TLDR
Decapterus russelU (Ruppell)* is abundaat in relatively deeper waters and forms 80-90 % of carangid catches by trawlers and spawns off Kakinada during December-August.
Stock assessment of the Indian scad, Decapterus russelli (Ruppell, 1830) from Mumbai waters
TLDR
In this study, Z/K was found to be 5.38 indicating that the stock of D. russelli is presently mortality dominated in Mumbai waters, and Thompson and Bell longterm prediction analysis indicated that there is no decline in yield even if the fishing effort is doubled.
Studies on the age, growth and mortality rates of Indian scad Decapterus russelli (Ruppell) from Mumbai waters
TLDR
Investigations have been carried out on the age, growth and mortality of Decapterus russelli (Ruppell) based on the length frequency data, finding that there is every likelihood of some threat of stock depletion.
Stock assessment of Indian scad, Decapterus
Stock assessment of Indian scad, Decapterus russelli (Ruppell, 1830) off Malabar was carried out. The Lα and K values were 271.2 mm and 1.22 y respectively The length-weight relationship can be
Population parameters of small pelagic fishes caught off Tawi-Tawi, Philippines.
TLDR
The growth parameters derived were found comparable with previous estimates available for the same species from other localities, and fishing mortality and exploitation rate were found to be presently above appropriate levels.
Growth, mortality and recruitment of Decapterus kurroides in Davao Gulf, Philippines
The ringnet fishery off Davao, southern Philippines, is briefly described. The major species (36%) in the catch is Decapterus kurroides (Pisces, Carangidae), whose growth parameters and mortality
THE LENGTH-WEIGHT RELATIONSHIP AND SEASONAL CYCLE IN GONAD WEIGHT AND CONDITION IN THE PERCH (PERCA FL UVIA TILIS)
TLDR
The present paper is an account of some of the investigations on the biology of the perch in Windermere, which are being conducted in connexion with a trap-fishery experiment, which revealed the relative complexity of the interrelationships of length, weight and condition.
The red-fin Decapterus group (Perciformes: Carangidae) with the description of a new species, Decapterus smithvanizi
The carangid genus Decapterus can be defined by having a single finlet behind both the second dorsal and anal fins, and lacking scutes on the anterior curved part of the lateral line. We revised
