As is known, the Pontryagin duality is a traditional object of investigations in Group Theory. Another application of this idea was found quite recently in the theory of topological algebras and is known as stereotype theory. A detailed description of this theme was presented in the author’s survey [1] and in his big paper [2] containing all the exact formulations and the accurate proofs. This note has the publicity aims: we would like to discuss here some results of [2] concentrating our… Expand
Kernel and cokernel in the category of augmented involutive stereotype algebras
We prove several properties of kernels and cokernels in the category of augmented involutive stereotype algebras: 1) the morphisms of the augmented involutive stereotype algebras have kernels andExpand
Holomorphic functions of exponential type and duality for stein groups with algebraic connected component of identity
We suggest a generalization of Pontryagin duality from the category of commutative, complex Lie groups to the category of (not necessarily commutative) Stein groups with algebraic connected componentExpand
Structure of modules over the stereotype algebra ℒ(X) of operators
AbstractIt is well known that every module M over the algebra ℒ(X) of operators on a finite-dimensional space X can be represented as the tensor product of X by some vector space E, M ≅ = E ⊗ X. WeExpand
Kernels and cokernels in the category of augmented involutive stereotype algebras
We prove several properties of kernels and cokernels in the category of augmented involutive stereotype algebras: (1) this category has kernels and cokernels, (2) the cokernel is preserved under th...

Pontryagin Duality in the Theory of Topological Vector Spaces and in Topological Algebra
The theory of topological vector spaces (TVS), being a foundation of modern functional analysis, is now considered as a completely mature, or, to be more specific, dead mathematical discipline. ThisExpand
Two classes of spaces reflexive in the sense of Pontryagin
The Pontryagin-van Kampen duality for locally compact Abelian groups can be generalized in two ways to wider classes of topological Abelian groups: in the first approach the dual group is endowedExpand
The hidden group structure of quantum groups: Strong duality, rigidity and preferred deformations
A notion of well-behaved Hopf algebra is introduced; reflexivity (for strong duality) between Hopf algebras of Drinfeld-type and their duals, algebras of coefficients of compact semi-simple groups,Expand

Hopf C*-Algebras
In this paper we define and study Hopf C ⁄ -algebras. Roughly speaking, a Hopf C ⁄ - algebra is a C ⁄ -algebra A with a comultiplication ` : A ! M(A › A) such that the maps a › b 7! `(a)(1 › b) and aExpand
