Pulmonary histopathological and clinical changes associated with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) were found to be less severe in 10 HIV-positive patients (group A) with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) than in 8 patients (group B) with other immune deficiencies.
