Pluripotent steroidogenesis and ultrastructure in adrenocortical adenomas causing Cushing's syndrome.

Abstract

Adrenal vein catheterization data from 2 patients with adrenocortical adenomas causing Cushing's syndrome are presented and the electron-microscopic features of one of the tumors are described. Based on the catheterization data both tumors produced all three classes of adrenal steroids (mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids and sex steroids). Electron… (More)
