A platinum nanoparticles chemically modified electrode (PtNP/GCE) was fabricated by electro-deposition and used to detection of Escherichia coli (E. coli). The detection principle was based on determination of p-aminophenol that was produced by an enzymatic reaction in E. coli solution. The sensitivity of the detection was improved by the platinum nanoparticle modified electrode and optimization of the detection system.
