We evaluated platelet indices changes in septic neonates with thrombocytopenia in order to identify an organism-specific relation of thrombocytopenia. Such identification could contribute in gaining precious time upon initiation of adequate treatment as long as to clarify pathophysiology underlined to sepsis thrombocytopenia.
