  • Abstract The catabolism of glucose by the avian malaria parasite Plasmodium lophurae was studied in vitro by employing the radioisotope [U- 14 C]- d -glucose. Quantitatively, infected cells showed more radioisotope in soluble intermediates than did normal duck erythrocytes.
