Plasma homocysteine was determined in 12 children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The patients were investigated prior to chemotherapy (stage I), during seven weeks of induction chemotherapy (stage II), and thereafter during intermittent high-dose methotrexate (HD-MTX) therapy (stage III).
