Plasma levels of transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta1, tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMP)-1, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 and interleukin (IL)-18 when analyzed separately demonstrate an association with psoriasis severity and treatment efficacy.
