To determine the separate effects of changes in fetal glucose and insulin concentrations on uteroplacental glucose transfer (UPGT) and consumption (UPGC) we studied 24 late-gestation pregnant sheep during fetal insulin infusions alone and with simultaneous glucose clamp.
