Abstract This paper reports the results of an analysis of the Doppler tracking data of Pioneer probes which did show an anomalous behaviour. A software has been developed for the sake of performing a data analysis as independent as possible from that of Anderson et al. [Anderson, J., Laing, P.A., Lau, E.L., Liu, A.S., Nieto, M.M., Turyshev, S.G. Study of the anomalous acceleration of Pioneer 10 and 11. Phys. Rev. D 65, 082004, 2002], using the same data set. A first output of this new analysis… Expand

The Pioneer Anomaly
A significant amount of information is provided on the design, operations and behavior of the two Pioneers during their entire missions, including descriptions of various data formats and techniques used for their navigation and radio-science data analysis. Expand
Does the Neptunian system of satellites challenge a gravitational origin for the Pioneer anomaly
If the Pioneer anomaly (PA) was a genuine dynamical effect of gravitational origin, it should also affect the orbital motions of the Solar system's bodies moving in the space regions in which the PAExpand
An explanation of the Pioneer anomaly involving accelerated atomic clocks
The Pioneer anomaly stands for unexplained fre- quency shifts of the Doppler radio-tracking signals received at the ground stations from the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft in disagreement withExpand
Empirical evidences in favor of a varying-speed-of-light
Some empirical evidences in favor of the hypothesis that the speed of light decreases by a few centimeters per second each year are examined. Lunar laser ranging data are found to be consistent withExpand

Radioscience simulations in General Relativity and in alternative theories of gravity
This paper deals with tests of general relativity (GR) in the Solar System using tracking observables from planetary spacecraft. We present a new software that simulates the Range and Doppler signalsExpand
The Pioneer Anomaly: an inconvenient reality or NASA's 12 year misconception?
This paper discusses the likelihood of whether the Pioneer anomaly is due to 'mundane' systematic errors/effects or indicative of new or unappreciated physics. The main aim of this paper is to argueExpand

Vibrating Rays Theory
The present work is aimed to explain why we started to consider Vibrating Rays Theory (VRT) as a viable representation of nature, and to elaborate some of its consequences. In 1846 Faraday introducedExpand
Electrostatic accelerometer with bias rejection for Gravitation and Solar System physics
Radio tracking of interplanetary probes is an important tool for navigation purposes as well as for testing the laws of physics or exploring planetary environments. The addition of an accelerometerExpand

Using early data to illuminate the Pioneer anomaly
Analysis of the radio tracking data from the Pioneer 10/11 spacecraft at distances between about 20–70 AU from the Sun has consistently indicated the presence of an unmodelled, small, constant,Expand
a Study of the Pioneer Anomaly:. New Data and Objectives for New Investigation
The Pioneer 10/11 spacecraft yielded the most precise navigation in deep space to date. However, their radiometric tracking data has consistently indicated the presence of a small, anomalous, DopplerExpand
Study of the anomalous acceleration of Pioneer 10 and 11
Our previous analyses of radio Doppler and ranging data from distant spacecraft in the solar system indicated that an apparent anomalous acceleration is acting on Pioneer 10 and 11, with a magnitudeExpand
Simulation of Ambiguity Effects in Doppler Tracking of Pioneer Probes

Directly measured limit on the interplanetary matter density from Pioneer 10 and 11
Abstract The Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft had exceptional deep-space navigational capabilities. The accuracies of their orbit reconstruction were limited, however, by a small, anomalous, DopplerExpand
