We study the properties of the Resonance-Spectrum Expansion near threshold in I=0 S-wave pion-pion scattering. The real part of the amplitude, when extrapolated from above threshold to below threshold, is found to vanish at a positive non-zero value of the total invariant mass of the system, in agreement with predictions from perturbative chiral models. In our exact analytic expression, the total amplitude vanishes identically at zero invariant mass.

S-wave and P -wave ππ and Kπ contributions to three-body decay processes in the Resonance-Spectrum Expansion
We study S- and P-wave ππ and Kπ distributions for the three-body production processes J/ ψ → ωπ + π − ,D + → K − π + π + ,D + → K + π + π − and D + → K + π + π − , by applying the resonance-spectrum

Towards an understanding of the light scalar mesons
Abstract.Although studied for many years the nature of the light scalar mesons remains controversial. Here we shall present a method, applicable for s-wave states located close to a threshold, that
CLASSIFICATION OF THE SCALAR MESONS: A STRANGE POLE EXPEDITION INTO CHARM AND BEAUTY TERRITORY
The classification of scalar and vector mesons is reviewed within the framework of the Resonance-Spectrum Expansion (RSE). This method allows a simple and straightforward description of non-exotic
Nonperturbative scalar-meson resonances with open charm and beauty
We predict several new bound states and resonances for B-pion, B-Kaon, and B-D S-wave elastic scattering, within the same model which was recently employed to explain the D*sJ(2317)+ meson. In the
On the role of hard rescattering in exclusive diffractive Higgs production
We discuss the contribution of so-called semi-enhanced hard rescattering corrections to central exclusive diffractive Higgs production, pp → p+H+p, at the LHC. We present arguments to show that these
DsJ(2860) as the first radial excitation of Ds0*(2317).
A coupled-channel model previously employed to describe the narrow Ds0*(2317) and broad D0*(2400) charmed scalar mesons is generalized so as to include all ground-state pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar and
Scalar and axial-vector mesons
Abstract.Almost thirty years ago, Penny G. Estabrooks asked “Where and what are the scalar mesons?” (P. Estabrooks, Phys. Rev. D 19, 2678 (1979)). The first part of her question can now be
Improved test of the flavor independence of strong interactions
We present an improved comparison of the strong coupling of the gluon to light (q{sub l}=u+d+s), {ital c}, and {ital b} quarks, determined from multijet rates in flavor-tagged samples of hadronic
Observed Ds(2317) and tentative D(2100-2300) as the charmed cousins of the light scalar nonet.
The very recently observed D(*)(sJ)(2317)(+) meson is described as a quasibound scalar csmacr; state in a unitarized meson model, owing its existence to the strong 3P0 Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-allowed
