Abstract

In Alzheimer's disease, the peptidyl prolyl cis/trans isomerase Pin1 binds to phospho-Thr231 on Tau proteins and, hence, is found within degenerating neurons, where it is associated to the large amounts of abnormally phosphorylated Tau proteins.
