The present study provides Canadian French normative data for 388 line drawings from the European Picture Pool for Oral Naming (Protocole européen de dénomination orale d’images; PEDOI; Kremin et al., 2003). One hundred eighty subjects were equally distributed for age group (18–39, 40–59, 60–85), educational level (low, high), and sex. They rated pictures of objects on age of acquisition, name agreement, familiarity, and visual complexity. Syllable length and word frequency were also taken into… Expand
A new set of 272 pictures for psycholinguistic studies: Persian norms for name agreement, image agreement, conceptual familiarity, visual complexity, and age of acquisition
TLDR
Norms for every picture were developed to provide measures of name agreement, image agreement, conceptual familiarity, age of acquisition, and visual complexity, and the results revealed that all of these measures vary with age, except for conceptual familiarity. Expand
PicPsy: A new bank of 106 photographs and line drawings with written naming norms for Spanish-speaking children and adults
TLDR
PicPsy is presented, a new standardized bank of photographs and matched line drawing used for picture-naming task in native Spanish-speaking children and found significant age group differences in all variables examined except for visual complexity. Expand
Color Image Norms in Mandarin Chinese
TLDR
This work presents a new set of photo stimuli and a large set of normalized variables, including norms of name agreement (%), familiarity, word frequency, concept agreement, AOA, and object agreement, and reports naming latencies and norms for 435 color images in Mandarin Chinese. Expand
Russian norms for name agreement, image agreement for the colorized version of the Snodgrass and Vanderwart pictures and age of acquisition, conceptual familiarity, and imageability scores for modal object names
TLDR
The aim of the present study was to provide Russian normative data for the Snodgrass and Vanderwart colorized pictures by standardized on name agreement, image agreement, conceptual familiarity, imageability, and age of acquisition. Expand
Expanded norms for 400 experimental pictures in an Argentinean Spanish-speaking population
TLDR
Norms for the set of 400 figures taken from Cycowicz, Friedman, Rothstein, and Snodgrass (1997) are collected using a sample of native Argentinean Spanish speakers to confirm the necessity of elaborating specific norms that are adapted to the studied population’s linguistic and sociocultural context. Expand
Objective age of acquisition for 223 Italian words: Norms and effects on picture naming speed
TLDR
Regression analyses showed that familiarity, typicality, and word frequency were significant predictors of AoA, but not word frequency, was found to determine naming latencies, and a path model was presented in which AoA is a mediator in predicting speed in picture naming. Expand
North-American Norms for Name Disagreement: Pictorial Stimuli Naming Discrepancies
TLDR
Norms for name disagreement presented in this paper are useful for subsequent research for their categorization and elucidation of name disagreement that occurs when choosing visual stimuli from one or both stimulus sets. Expand
The bank of standardized stimuli (BOSS): comparison between French and English norms
TLDR
There was good concordance between the norms collected from French and English native speakers living in the same cultural setting and the only significant group differences were found in viewpoint agreement and visual complexity. Expand
Impact of semantic or phonemic cues in picture-naming tasks on the calculation of the objective age-of-acquisition norms: A cross-linguistic study
TLDR
The goal of the present study was to collect objective norms of AoA in French without any kind of cue, and the results were then compared with other European databases that relied on picture-naming tasks conducted with phonemic or semantic cues. Expand
TDQ-60 – a color picture-naming test for adults and elderly people: validation and normalization data
TLDR
The TDQ-60 is a new valid picture-naming test, controlled for psycholinguistic variables and designed to identify the influence of semantics on lexical access in spoken production. Expand

Age of acquisition and name agreement as predictors of mean response latencies in picture naming of French adults.
