In phytosociological studies of Korean subalpine confierous forests of the class Vaccinio-Piceetea Br.-Bl. 1939, new two alliances are described. They are Abieti nephrolepidis-Piceion jezoensis of the Korean Peninsula and Abietion koreanae on Mt. Halla, Cheju Island. The former contains three associations: (1) Taxo-Pinetum pumilae song et Nakanishi 1985, (2) Thujo-Abietetum nephrolepidis assoc. nov. and (3) Abieti koreanae-Piceetum jezoensis assoc. nov.
