Wetland plants are being used successfully for the phytoremediation of trace elements in natural and constructed wetlands. Under the present investigation, two aquatic macrophytes, Ceratophyllum demersum and Lemna gibba, were tested for their effectiveness at removing two toxic metals (Pb and Cr).
