Phytochemicals are the dependable sources for the treatment of different health problems. Anticancer medicinal plants possess cancer healing property due to their bioactive metabolites of secondary origin. The present work revels phytochemical screening of 23 anticancer medicinal plant species representing 17 families of Polypetalae for alkaloids, flavonoids, sterols, tannins, glycosides and saponins. Except Phylanthusas amurus, alkaloids were present in all plant species while flavonoids…
