Phytochemical Composition and in vitro Antimicrobial, Antioxidant Activities of Ethanolic Extract of Dregea volubilis (Linn.) Leaves

title={Phytochemical Composition and in vitro Antimicrobial, Antioxidant Activities of Ethanolic Extract of Dregea volubilis (Linn.) Leaves},
author={Venkatesan Natarajan and Smith Arul and Gnana Dhas and Annamalai Nagar},
Objective: To investigate the phytochemical composition, in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of ethanolic extracts of Dregea volubilis (Linn.) leaves. Methods: Ethanolic extracts were prepared from fresh dried leaves of Dregea volubilis (Linn.) by hot continuous percolation method in Soxhlet apparatus. Ethanolic extract of Dregea volubilis (Linn.) were subjected to identify phytochemical compounds by using GC-MS analysis. Ethanolic extract of Dregea volubilis(Linn.) were tested…

Prevention of cytotoxicity and inhibition of intercellular communication by antioxidant catechins isolated from Chinese green tea.
An antioxidant fraction of Chinese green tea, containing several catechins, has been previously shown to inhibit 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced tumor promotion in mouse skin and was shown to have antioxidative activity toward hydrogen peroxide and the superoxide radical.
