Chemostat cultures of Methylobacterium extorquens AM1 grown on methanol or succinate at a range of dilution rates were compared to batch cultures in terms of enzyme levels, poly-β-hydroxybutyrate content, and intracellular concentrations of adenine and pyridine nucleotides.
