This study was carried out to determine the quality of some water supplies in Jericho and Molete areas in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. A total of 6 water samples (Jericho and Molete) from well, borehole and public tap were randomly selected and analyzed in triplicate for some physico-chemical and microbial parameters. The pH ranged from 5.88 ± 0.01 to 6.88 ± 0.06 while total hardness ranged from 2.60 ± 0.04 ppm to 44.00 ± 1.20 ppm. The temperature ranged from 15.00℃ ± 0.07℃ to 18.00℃ ± 0.21…

Quality audit of drinking water sources in Ikwo rural setting of Ebonyi State, Southeastern Nigeria

We assessed the quality status of surface and ground waters used for drinking in Ikwo, Southeast Nigeria, using the physicochemical and bacteriological qualities, and antimicrobial susceptibility

Physico-Chemical and Microbiological Analysis of Water of the “Presa De Los Patos” in the Desierto De Los Leones National Park, Mexico

It was determined that the water of the Presa de los Patos cannot be considered potable and the water consumption is a great risk for the habitants and visitors of the park.

Quality assessment of waterside river, ogbor hill, aba I: effect of three-point samples on some hematological parameters of wistar rats

Out of the three natural water forms (liquid, solid and gaseous forms), liquid water is the commonly used and can be sourced from streams, lakes, rivers, ponds and wells.1 Rivers are considered

Physico-Chemical Analysis of Drinking Water in Hanumangarh District, Rajasthan India

Water samples taken at twenty different locations along Hanumangarh District and were subjected to physicochemical analysis found the result to range between 7.05-7.50, Electrical conductivity was found to be between 0.31-0.52 mmho/cm and the lowest value of Chloride, 32.5mg/l was recorded at location C19.

Seasonal Assessment of Underground Water Quality

Levels of physiochemical parameters and heavy metals in water collected in dry and wet seasons from some boreholes in Wamba Area of Nasarawa state, Nigeria were assessed. Physicochemical parameters

Atypical EPEC is more closely related to Shiga toxin–producing E. coli (STEC), and like STEC these strains appear to be emerging pathogens.

Operative treatment of typhoid perforation with peritoneal irrigation: a comparative study.

The results obtained have convinced us that all cases of typhoid must be promptly and adequately resuscitated, operated, drained, and irrigated.
