Salvia sclarea L. belongs to family Lamiaceae, commonly used for medicinal purposes. Clary sage has been used in treatment of cancer. The present investigation was conducted with an objective to assess the real value of the seed lot and effect of temperature in germination. The seeds were collected from Tehri Garhwal region of Uttrakhand in 2008. Seed sample was divided into four replicates.
