Phylogenetic and taxonomic studies of Abundisporus were carried out. Inferred from phylogenies based on DNA sequences of multiple loci including the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions, the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nLSU), the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene sequences (mtSSU) and the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (tef1), species falling under the current concept of Abundisporus represent a monophyletic lineage, which belongs to the core polyporoid clade. Taxonomic Study of the Genus Abundisporus in Korea

It is shown that previous classification of the polypore genus Abundisporus Ryvarden was incorrect and there is only one species (A. pubertatis) in Korea, as well as a taxonomic key to distinguish wood rot fungi with a purple hymenophore.

A contribution to Porogramme (Polyporaceae, Agaricomycetes) and related genera

The molecular phylogeny based on the internal transcribed spacer, the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene, the translation elongation factor 1-α gene, and the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (RPB1) demonstrates six clades are formed among Porogramme and related genera.

An Updated Phylogenetic Assessment and Taxonomic Revision of Perenniporia sensu lato (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)

In this study, phylogenetic analyses on a set of Perenniporia species and related genera were carried out using DNA sequences of multiple loci, including the internal transcribed spacer regions, the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nLSU), the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene (mtSSU) and the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (TEF1).

Taxonomy and phylogeny of polypores with ganodermatoid basidiospores (Ganodermataceae)

M morphological analysis and multilocus phylogenetic analyses based on Internal Transcribed Spacer, nuclear 28S rDNA, and portions of the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II and translation elongation factor 1-alpha were carried out found Ganodermataceae is recovered as monophyletic.

Fungal diversity notes 1512–1610: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions on genera and species of fungal taxa

The present study describes two new families, 12 new genera, 82 new species, five new combinations and 25 new records on new hosts and new geographical distributions as well as sexual-asexual reports.

Notes, outline and divergence times of Basidiomycota

Divergence times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system, and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.

Species diversity, taxonomy and phylogeny of Polyporaceae (Basidiomycota) in China

This monograph provides a revised classification of Polyporaceae in China according to the modern taxonomy and describes twelve new species, two new genera and six new combinations, which are proposed based on the Chinese collections.

Taxonomy and phylogeny of the brown-rot fungi: Fomitopsis and its related genera

Taxonomic and phylogenetic studies on the brown-rot fungi, Fomitopsis and its related genera, are carried out and six new genera are established, including four new species from China.

Taxonomy and multi-gene phylogeny of Haploporus (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)

Three species in Haploporus are described as new based on morphological differences and molecular phylogenetic analyses inferred from the internal transcribed spacer (ITS), the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nLSU), the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene (mtSSU) and the second subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2) sequences.
