We present a cladistic analysis of all the species of Smallanthus . Six taxa within Rumfordia , Ichthyothere , Acanthospermum and Tridax served as outgroups. We evaluated the monophyly and the relationships between the species of Smallanthus through a maximum parsimony study based on morphological data.
