In order to clarify the phylogenetic relationships in A-genome species of rice, RAPD analysis was carried out using 29 accessions (8 Oryza sativa, 6 O. glaberrima, 13 O. perennis, and 2 O. breviligulata). Their total DNA was used as template for PCR with 14 decamer primers. The amplified products were electrophoresed in agarose gel, and the banding patterns were observed.
