Compound 1 has been prepared by the reaction of 4-nitrophthalonitrile and trans-2-methoxy-4-(2-nitrovinil)phenol by the common method of nucleophilic substitution of an activated nitro group in an aromatic ring. The metallophthalocyanines 2, 3 were prepared by the reaction of a dinitrile derivative with Co(OAc)(2) or Zn(OAc)(2) in DMSO. The lutetium bis-(phthalocyaninato) complex 4 was obtained by treating the dinitrile derivative with lutetium acetate and DBU in 1-hexanol. The new compounds…

Dielectric properties and electronic absorption: a comparison of novel azo- and oxo-bridged phthalocyanines.
TLDR
The novel two homologous phthalocyanine (Pc) series substituted with a 5-bromo-2-methoxyphenyl moiety was synthesized and characterized and Measurements showed that the dielectric permittivity of azo-bridged phthalcyanines is significantly higher than that of the oxo- bridged homologs.
Impedance Spectroscopy and Dielectric Relaxation of Imidazole-Substituted Palladium(II) Phthalocyanine (ImPdPc) for Organic Solar Cells†
TLDR
An in-depth analysis of the behavior of the electric transport was conducted and the correlated barrier hopping (CBH) conduction mechanism was shown to be the most suitable predominant conduction mechanisms for PdPc(Imz)4.

A selective and sensitive fluorescent sensor for cysteine detection based on bi-8-carboxamidoquinoline derivative and Cu2+ complex.
TLDR
The established method showed a highly sensitive and selective response to cysteine among the 20 fundamental α-amino acids used as the building blocks of proteins, after Ni2+ was used as a masking agent to eliminate the interference of His.
