The photoproduction of $\pi^0$-mesons from the nucleon and deuteron has been studied for incidents of photon energies up to 1.5 GeV. By using the MAID-2007 model for the process on the nucleon, we predict results for the unpolarized and helicity-dependent total cross sections of the semi-exclusive reaction $\gamma d\rightarrow\pi^0X$ ($X=np+d$) with the inclusion of rescattering effects. We find that rescattering effects yield a substantially large contribution. The extracted results are…

Different vertex parameterizations and propagators for the Δ contribution in π-photoproduction

We evaluate the total cross section for the π-photoproduction process and analyze the behaviour of the Δ(1232) resonance contribution when the photon energy is increased from threshold up to 0.7 GeV.

Incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron in the first resonance region

Incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron is studied in the first resonance region. The unpolarized cross section, the beam asymmetry, and the vector and tensor target asymmetries are

Single and double πo-photoproduction from the deuteron

Abstract: Photoproduction of neutral pions from the deuteron has been studied for incident photon energies from 200 MeV to 792 MeV with the TAPS detector at the Mainz MAMI accelerator. Total and

Rescattering effects in incoherent photoproduction of pi-mesons off deuterium in the Delta(1232) resonance region

Incoherent photoproduction of pions on the deuteron in the Delta(1232) resonance region is investigated in order to study the influence of final state NN and PiN rescattering. For the elementary

THEORY OF THE ELECTRO- AND PHOTO-PRODUCTION OF $pi$ MESONS

The scattering amplitude for the electroproduction of pions from nucleons is derived using the Mandelstam representation. It is shown that the amplitude consists mainly of two parts which in the

Incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron with polarization observables. II. Influence of final state rescattering

Incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron is studied for photon energies from threshold up to 1 GeV, with special emphasis on polarization observables. The elementary {gamma}N{yields}{pi}N

Sensitivity of γd → π0d Observables Near η-Threshold to the Intermediate ηNN Interaction and the Choice of Elementary Pion Production Amplitude

The role of intermediate ηNN interaction is studied in coherent π0-photoproduction on the deuteron near η-threshold using a three-body model with separable two-body interactions. This work is

Helicity-dependent reaction γd → π0d near the η-threshold and its contribution to the E-asymmetry and the GDH sum rule for the deuteron

The helicity-dependent coherent π0-photoproduction in the reaction γd → π0d near the η-threshold is investigated. The calculations are performed within an approach which includes the reaction

Incoherent pion photoproduction on the deuteron with polarization observables. I. Formal expressions

Formal expressions are developed for the general fivefold differential cross section of incoherent \ensuremath{\pi}-photoproduction on the deuteron, including beam and target polarization. The
