A photosensitizer as potential anticancer drug of sodium zinc(II)-2,9,16,23phthalocyanine tetracarboxylate (ZnPc(COONa)4) was investigated by means of steady-state spectroscopies in aqueous solution. The photosensitizer was found to be of far red-absorbing photosensitizer with a considerable singlet oxygen quantum yield (ΦΔ = 0.28). Upon illumination ZnPc(COONa)4 could be considered a stable with photobleaching constant of 1.8×10cmJ. Its photodynamic dose was found to be 1389 Jcm. The mechanism… CONTINUE READING
