Eleven phenolic Compounds have been isolated from the ethanolic extract of SELAGINELLA DOEDERLEINII by a combination of Chromatographic techniques. These are five lignans: (-)-lirioresinol A, (-)-lirioresinol B, (+)-wikstromol, (-)-nortracheloside, (+)-matairesinol ( 1), two phenylpropanones: 3-hydroxy-1-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan-1-one ( 2), 3-hydroxy-1-(3,5 -dimethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan-1-one ( 3), and four biflavonoids: amentoflavone, 7,7''-di- O-methylamentoflavone, 7,4',7'',4…
Selaginellin A and B, two novel natural pigments isolated from Selaginella tamariscina.
Two new unusual natural pigments were first isolated from the whole herbs of Selaginella tamariscina and their chemical structures were elucidated by spectral analysis of electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques.
Two new biflavonoids from Selaginella doederleinii
Abstract Two new biflavonoids, (2R,2"R)-2,3,2",3"-tetrahydrorobustaflavone (1), and 7-O-methyl-2,3,2",3"-tetrahydro-3',3”'-biapigenin (2), along with eight known bioflavonoids, 3',3”'-binaringenin
New cytotoxic biflavones from Selaginella doederleinii
Abstract Three new biflavones, apigenin-(3′,8″)-chrysin (1), (2S)-2,3-Dihydroametoflavone 5,4′-dimethyl ether (2), and (2S)-5″,7″-Dihydroxy-2″-phenoxychromonyl-(4′″,3′)-naringenin (3), together with
Lignan derivatives from Selaginella tamariscina and their nitric oxide inhibitory effects in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.
The chemical characterization of Selaginella tamariscina leaves resulted in the isolation of five lignanoside derivatives (1-4 and 6) and one neolignan (5) that were evaluated in terms of their inhibition of NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated activity in the macrophage cell line RAW 264.
Flavones and Cytotoxic Constituents from the Stem Bark of Muntingia calabura
Two new flavones, 8-hydroxy-7,3',4',5'-tetramethoxyflavone and 8,4'-dihydroxy-7,3',5'-trimethoxyflavone, together with thirteen known compounds have been isolated from the stem bark of Muntingia
A new flavonoid from Selaginella tamariscina (Beauv.) Spring.
A new flavonoid, 6-(2-hydroxy-5-carboxyphenyl)-apigenin, together with two new natural products, 3-(4-hydroxyl)-6,7-dihydroxy coumarin and four known compounds, were isolated from Selaginella tamariscina (BEAUV.) SPRING.
Uncinoside A and B, two new antiviral chromone glycosides from Selaginella uncinata.
Five compounds have been isolated from the dried whole plants of Selaginella uncinata, two of them were new chromone glycosides, 5-hydroxy-2,6,8-trimethylchromone 7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside
Constituents of Cassia laevigata.
Calendin, cinnamic acid, 3-Hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-propan-1-one, syringic acid, and vanillic acid have been isolated from a dichloromethane extract of the leaves and branches of Cassia laevigata.
Bioactive flavones and biflavones from Selaginella moellendorffii Hieron.
Three new flavones named 5-carboxymethyl-4',7-dihydroxyflavone (1), its ethyl ester (2) and butyl ester (3) were isolated from the herb Selaginella moellendorffii Hieron., together with ten known
Phenolic constituents from the twigs of Euonymus alatus and their cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory activity.
A bioassay-guided fractionation and chemical investigation of the MeOH extract of the twigs of Euonymus alatus resulted in the isolation and identification of five new phenolic compounds, named
