Based on multivariate analyses, a new dioecious species of Poa from the Punena and Altoandina phytogeographical provinces of Argentina is described. This species is most similar to Poa calchaquiensis of Poa section Dioicopoa. The ligule length, plant size, and glabrous pistillate anthoecia distinguish Poa nubensis. A key for identification and illustrations are also included. © 2008 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2008, 157, 239–248.

Breeding system diversification and evolution in American Poa supersect. Homalopoa (Poaceae: Poeae: Poinae)
Divergence dating provides a temporal context to the evolution of breeding systems in New World Poa supersect, which is suggested to have originated in Eurasia 8·4–4·2 million years ago (Mya) and has diversified extensively in the Americas. Expand
Variabilidad morfológica de las especies del complejo Poa resinulosa (Poaceae) y su relación con las especies de la sección Dioicopoa
P. resinulosa is described as a new variety of P. ligularis, distinguished by its shorter ligule, shorter leaves and culms, broader blades and minor stomata, and a map representing the geographical distribution of both varieties is presented. Expand

Poa durifolia y su relación con el patrón fenético de Poa sección Dioicopoa (Poaceae)
Recognition of the taxa as separate species is supported by the results of principal component analysis and significant differences in reproductive and vegetative characters and a map of its geographical distribution are given. Expand
A Phylogenetic Analysis of the Bluegrass Genus Poa Based on cpDNA Restriction Site Data
A new phylogenetic study of Poa based on analysis of restriction site data from PCR amplified regions of chloroplast DNA expands previous sampling in the genus to where 1/5 to 1/6 of the species have been characterized for chlorop last DNA types. Expand
