We study the critical behavior of a frustrated Blume-Capel (BC) antiferromagnet on a triangular lattice by Monte Carlo simulations. For a reduced single-ion anisotropy strength $-1.47 \lesssim d < 0$ we find two phase transitions. The low-temperature phase is characterized by the antiferromagnetic long-range ordering (LRO) on two sublattices with the third one remaining in a non-magnetic state. At higher temperatures there is a critical region of the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) type…
Phase Diagram of the Antiferromagnetic Blume-Capel Model on Triangular Lattice
We perform Monte-Carlo simulations of the anti-ferromagnetic (AF) spin-1 Blume- Capel (BC) model and the AF Ising model on triangular lattice. We estimate the exact critical magnetic fields for both
Incommensurate Short-Range Order in S = 1 Triangular Lattice Ising Antiferromagnet
We study the S = 1 triangular lattice Ising antiferromagnet by Monte Carlo simulations. Frustrations between a major antiferromagnetic third-neighbor interaction, J3, and a minor ferromagnetic
Effect of lattice coarsening and exclusion on phase-transition properties of the Bell–Lavis model
The temperature and order of the phase transition are studied for a less-coarsened Bell–Lavis model and the critical exponents obtained for the lower phase transition demonstrate the values typical for the three-state Potts model universality class.
Study of the Antiferromagnetic Blume-Capel Model on kagomé Lattice
We study the anti-ferromagnetic (AF) Ising model and the AF Blume-Capel (BC) model on the kagome lattice. Using the Wang-Landau sampling method, we estimate the joint density functions for both
Thermal algebraic-decay charge liquid driven by competing short-range Coulomb repulsion
We explore the possibility of a Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless-like critical phase for the charge degrees of freedom in the intermediate-temperature regime between the charge-ordered and disordered
Triangular Ising Ferromagnet with Mixed Spins (A = 1/2, B = 1/2, C = 1): Dynamic Magnetic Properties and Hysteresis Curves
The dynamic properties of the triangular Ising ferromagnet consisting of the mixed spins A = 1/2, B = 1/2, and C = 1 is studied by using the mean-field theory (MFT) as well as Glauber-type stochastic
Phase behaviour and structure of a superionic liquid in nonpolarized nanoconfinement.
A statistical theory formulated on bipartite lattices allows an analytical solution within the Bethe-lattice approach that predicts the existence of ordered and disordered phases in which ions form a crystal-like structure and a homogeneous mixture, respectively.
The Kinetic Spin-1 Ising System on Triangular Lattice: the Effects of Crystal Field and Frequency of Oscillating External Magnetic Field
Dynamic magnetic properties of the kinetic spin-1 Ising system on a triangular lattice are investigated by utilizing the mean field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. In particular, we
