Transformation behavior of boron nitride between the wurtzitic and zincblende forms has been studied under static pressures from 80 to 200 kbar (8–20 GPa) and at temperatures up to 1800 °C without planned addition of catalysts. A reaction boundary for this transformation has been delineated which exhibits a broad maximum in temperature around 120 kbar.
