We have performed numerical simulations of SU(3) gauge theory coupled to ${N}_{f}=2$ flavors of symmetric-representation fermions. The fermions are discretized with the tadpole-improved clover action. Our simulations are done on lattices of length $L=6$, 8, and 12. In all simulation volumes we observe a crossover from a strongly coupled confined phase to a weak-coupling deconfined phase. Degeneracies in screening masses, plus the behavior of the pseudoscalar decay constant, indicate that the…

Phase diagrams of SU(N) gauge theories with fermions in various representations

We minimize the one-loop effective potential for SU(N) gauge theories including fermions with finite mass in the fundamental (F), adjoint (Adj), symmetric (S), and antisymmetric (AS) representations.

Running coupling and mass anomalous dimension of SU(3) gauge theory with two flavors of symmetric-representation fermions

We have measured the running coupling constant of SU(3) gauge theory coupled to N{sub f}=2 flavors of symmetric representation fermions, using the Schroedinger functional scheme. Our lattice action

SU(4) lattice gauge theory with decuplet fermions: Schrödinger functional analysis

We complete a program of study of SU(N) gauge theories coupled to two flavors of fermions in the two-index symmetric representation by performing numerical simulations in SU(4). The beta function,

Chiral properties of SU(3) sextet fermions

SU(3) gauge theory with overlap fermions in the 2-index symmetric (sextet) and fundamental representations is considered. A priori it is not known what the pattern of chiral symmetry breaking is in a

Mass anomalous dimension in sextet QCD

We extend our previous study of the SU(3) gauge theory with N_f=2 flavors of fermions in the sextet representation of color. Our tool is the Schroedinger functional method. By changing the lattice

Mass anomalous dimension in SU(2) with two adjoint fermions

We study SU(2) lattice gauge theory with two flavours of Dirac fermions in the adjoint representation. We measure the running of the coupling in the Schrodinger Functional (SF) scheme and find it is

Lattice Study on quantum-mechanical dynamics of two-color QCD with six light flavors

We investigate the chiral properties of SU(2)C gauge theory with six flavors, i.e. six light Dirac fermions in the fundamental representations by lattice simulation, and point out that the

Nonperturbative improvement of SU ( 2 ) lattice gauge theory with adjoint or fundamental flavors Karavirta

SU(2) gauge theory with two fermions transforming under the adjoint representation may appear conformal or almost conformal in the infrared, and is one of the candidate theories for building models

Near the sill of the conformal window: Gauge theories with fermions in two-index representations

We apply Schroedinger functional methods to two gauge theories with fermions in two-index representations: the SU(3) theory with Nf=2 adjoint fermions, and the SU(4) theory with Nf=6 fermions in the

Finite volume phases of large-N gauge theories with massive adjoint fermions

The phase structure of QCD-like gauge theories with fermions in various representations is an interesting but generally analytically intractable problem. One way to ensure weak coupling is to define
