We reexamine the recent instanton motivated studies of Alford, Rajagopal, and Wilczek, and Berges and Rajagopal in the framework of the standard SU(2) Nambu\char21{}Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. The chiral phase diagram is calculated in the temperature-density plane, and the pressure is evaluated as the function of the quark density. Obtaining simple approximate relations describing the T-\ensuremath{\mu} and $T\ensuremath{-}{p}_{F}$ phase transition lines, we find that the results of the instanton…
Mesonic correlation functions at finite temperature and density in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with a Polyakov loop

We investigate the properties of scalar and pseudoscalar mesons at finite temperature and quark chemical potential in the framework of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model coupled to the Polyakov loop

It is shown that the meson masses, namely that of the kaons, change abruptly near the CEP, which can be relevant for its experimental search.
Extension of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model predictions at high densities and temperatures using an implicit regularization scheme
• Physics

Traditional cutoff regularization schemes of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model limit the applicability of the model to energy-momentum scales much below the value of the regularizing cutoff. In
Strange-quark matter within the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model
• Physics

The equation of state of baryon-rich quark matter is studied within the SU(3) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with flavor-mixing interaction. Possible bound states (strangelets) and chiral phase transitions
Phase diagram of quark-antiquark and diquark condensates at finite temperature and density in the 3-dimensional Gross-Neveu model
We construct the phase diagrams of the quark-antiquark and diquark condensates at finite temperature and density in the 3-dimensional (3D) 2-flavor Gross-Neveu model. We found that, in contrast to
QCD critical end point from a realistic PNJL model
• Physics
• 2018
With parameters fixed by critical temperature and equation of state at zero baryon chemical potential, a realistic Polyakov--Nambu--Jona-Lasinio (rPNJL) model predicts a critical end point of chiral
An effective thermodynamic potential from the instanton with Polyakov-loop contributions
We derive an effective thermodynamic potential (?eff) at a finite temperature (T ? 0) and zero quark-chemical potential (?R = 0), using the singular-gauge instanton solution and Matsubara formula for
Stringy NJL and Gross-Neveu models at finite density and temperature
• Physics
• 2007
Nonlocal stringy versions of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio and Gross-Neveu models arise in a certain limit of holographic QCD. We analyze the phase structure at finite density and temperature at strong
