To characterize the pharmacokinetics and safety of single and multiple doses of dapoxetine, a novel agent under development for the treatment of premature ejaculation, a urogenital disorder. Methods: This was a randomized, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled, single and multiple dose study in 77 healthy male volunteers. Dapoxetine was administered orally as a single dose of 60, 100, 140, or 160 mg or once‐daily for 6 days at 80, 100, or 120 mg. Pharmacokinetic parameters were determined by non… Expand
Safety and Efficacy of Dapoxetine in the Treatment of Premature Ejaculation: A Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Fixed-Dose, Randomized Study
TLDR
Dapoxetine has moderately better results in terms of IELT and intercourse satisfaction vs placebo without long-term benefit for the patient after it is withdrawn, and further studies are necessary to draw final conclusions on the efficacy of this drug in PE. Expand
Safety and efficacy of citalopram in the treatment of premature ejaculation: a double-blind placebo-controlled, fixed dose, randomized study
TLDR
It is indicated that citalopram has significantly better results in terms of IVELT and intercourse satisfaction versus placebo and to prolong the efficacy of this drug in PE. Expand
Pharmacokinetics interaction of dapoxetine with different doses of green tea extract in male healthy volunteers using midazolam as CYP3A4 enzyme probe
TLDR
The coadministration of dapoxetine with 4 gm grean tea extract significantly increased dapxetine AUC∞ (from 3218.74 μg.hr/L to 4207.65 μg/L, P). Expand
The Asia-Pacific Flexible Dose Study of Dapoxetine and Patient Satisfaction in Premature Ejaculation Therapy: The PASSION Study
TLDR
Flexible dosing of dapoxetine (30 and 60 mg) appeared effective in the treatment of PE in Asia-Pacific men with PE. Expand
