ABSTRACT The rational use of antiepileptic drugs requires the consideration of their pharmacokinetics, which may be influenced by the physiological and pathological factors. Pharmacokinetic intractions between antiepileptic drugs may lead to considerable fluctuation in plasma drug concentration, and monotherapy is often preferable.
