In vivo antitumoral activity, pharmacokinetics (PK) and biodistribution of a new liposomal formulation of vincristine (VCR-Lip) were compared to VCR in aqueous solution (VCR-Conv). VCR was entrapped into a vesicular phospholipid gel (VPG) consisting of densely packed liposomes. Redispersed VCR-containing VPG (VCR-Lip) consisted of 54% liposomally entrapped and 46% free VCR.
