A bstractWe study cosmological perturbations for a ghost free massive gravity theory formulated with a dynamical extra metric that is needed to massive deform GR. In this formulation FRW background solutions fall in two branches. In the dynamics of perturbations around the first branch solutions, no extra degree of freedom with respect to GR is present at linearized level, likewise what is found in the Stuckelberg formulation of massive gravity where the extra metric is flat and non dynamical…

Cosmology in general massive gravity theories

We study the cosmological FRW flat solutions generated in general massive gravity theories. Such a model are obtained adding to the Einstein General Relativity action a peculiar non derivative

On the cosmology of massive gravity

We present a review of cosmological solutions in nonlinear massive gravity, focusing on the stability of perturbations. Although homogeneous and isotropic solutions have been found, these are now

Bouncing cosmologies in massive gravity on de Sitter

In the framework of massive gravity with a de Sitter reference metric, we study homogeneous and isotropic solutions with positive spatial curvature. Remarkably, we find that bounces can occur when

Massive gravity, the elasticity of space-time and perturbations in the dark sector

We consider a class of phenomenological modified gravity models where the terms added to the standard Einstein-Hilbert Lagrangian are just a function of the metric only. For linearized perturbations

Phenomenology of minimal theory of quasidilaton massive gravity

The minimal theory of quasidilaton massive gravity with or without a Horndeski-type kinetic term for the quasidilaton field propagates only three physical modes: the two massive tensor polarizations

Perturbations of Cosmological and Black Hole Solutions in Massive gravity and Bi-gravity

We investigate perturbations of a class of spherically symmetric solutions in massive gravity and bi-gravity. The background equations of motion for the particular class of solutions we are

Stable cosmology in generalized massive gravity

We present a thorough analysis of the cosmological perturbations in Generalised Massive Gravity. This is an extension of de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley theory where the translation invariance in the

Non-linear massive gravity

Massive gravity is a particular theoretical model that modifies gravity on cosmological scales and therefore could provide a dynamical explanation for the observed accelerated expansion of our

Linear growth of structure in massive bigravity

The ghost-free theory of massive gravity with two dynamical metrics has been shown to produce viable cosmological expansion, where the late-time acceleration of the Universe is due to the finite

Cosmology of bigravity with doubly coupled matter

We study cosmology in the bigravity formulation of the dRGT model where matter couples to both metrics. At linear order in perturbation theory two mass scales emerge: an hard one from the dRGT

FRW cosmology in ghost free massive gravity from bigravity

A bstractWe study FRW homogeneous cosmological solutions in the bigravity extension of the recently found ghost-free massive gravity. When the additional extra metric, needed to generate the mass

Cosmological perturbations of self-accelerating universe in nonlinear massive gravity

We study cosmological perturbations of self-accelerating universe solutions in the recently proposed nonlinear theory of massive gravity, with general matter content. While the broken diffeomorphism

The self-accelerating universe with vectors in massive gravity

A bstractWe explore the possibility of realising self-accelerated expansion of the Universe taking into account the vector components of a massive graviton. The effective action in the decoupling

Exact Spherically Symmetric Solutions in Massive Gravity

A phase of massive gravity free from pathologies can be obtained by coupling the metric to an additional spin-two field. We study the gravitational field produced by a static spherically symmetric

Open FRW universes and self-acceleration from nonlinear massive gravity

In the context of a recently proposed nonlinear massive gravity with Lorentz-invariant mass terms, we investigate open Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universes driven by arbitrary matter source.

On Black Holes in Massive Gravity

In massive gravity the so-far-found black hole solutions on Minkowski space happen to convert horizons into a certain type of singularities. Here we explore whether these singularities can be avoided

Ghost-free massive gravity with a general reference metric

A bstractTheories of massive gravity inevitably include an auxiliary reference metric. Generically, they also contain an inconsistency known as the Boulware-Deser ghost. Recently, a family of

Spherically symmetric solutions in ghost-free massive gravity

Recently, a class of theories of massive gravity has been shown to be ghost-free. We study the spherically symmetric solutions in the bigravity formulation of such theories. In general, the solutions

Massive Cosmologies

We explore the cosmological solutions of a recently proposed extension of General Relativity with a Lorentz-invariant mass term. We show that the same constraint that removes the Boulware-Deser ghost
