BACKGROUND Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is the most common hereditary cause of kidney failure. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) often is avoided because of concerns about hernias and peritonitis. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective matched-cohort study.
