The present study investigates the peristaltic flow of couple stress fluid in a non-uniform rectangular duct with compliant walls. Mathematical modeling is based upon the laws of mass and linear momentum. Analytic solutions are carried out by the eigen function expansion method under long-wavelength and low-Reynolds number approximations. The features of the flow characteristics are analyzed by plotting the graphs of various values of physical parameters of interest. Trapping bolus scheme is…

Impact of Compliant Wall Properties on Peristaltic Transport of a Compressible Non-Newtonian Maxwellian Fluid Through Axisymmetric Cylindrical Tube

In this article, Maxwell’s viscous fluid movement is studied through a cylindrical symmetric tube (pore) with a complaint wall and this movement is peristaltic. The fluid’s compressibility and slip

Consequences of compliant walls for peristaltic transportation in a channel having porous medium and porous boundaries

The current communication addresses the two-dimensional peristaltic transport of viscous fluid in a channel having porous medium as well as porous boundaries. The walls of the channel are assumed to

PERISTALTIC TRANSPORT OF A JEFFREY FLUID UNDER THE EFFECT OF SLIP IN AN INCLINED ASYMMETRIC CHANNEL

Peristaltic flow of a Jeffrey fluid in an inclined asymmetric channel is undertaken when the no-slip condition at the channel wall is no longer valid. The considered fluid is incompressible and

Peristaltic transport of a couple stress fluid in a uniform and non-uniform channels.

TLDR
The problem of peristaltic transport of a couple stress fluid in uniform and non-uniform two-dimensional channels has been investigated under zero Reynolds number with long wavelength approximation and the pressure rise is found to be greater than that for a Newtonian fluid.
