The effects of periodic perturbation on a solid state microwave (SSMW) Gunn oscillator (GO) has been investigated in two different ways of application of the perturbing signal (PS). In the first method, named as additive perturbation (AP), the PS is added to the GO cavity and in the second method, called multiplicative perturbation (MP), the PS directly modulates the bias condition of the GO.
