An experiment was conducted at ICAR-National Research Centre on Seed Spices, Tabiji, Ajmer, Rajasthan during the Rabi season of 2015-16 to find out the performance of different varieties of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) under organic production system. Eight varieties viz., ACr-1, Azad Dhania-1, RCr435, RCr436, RCr446, RCr684, Hissar Sugandha and Hissar Anand were tested under the organic system. The results revealed that three varieties of coriander performed better in organic management…

Comprehensive evaluation of coriander (Coriandrum sativum) varieties under different organic modules

Cultivation of coriander variety ACr-1 with the application of Module-1 exhibited maximum values for all the growth parameters, yield attributing characters with maximum seed yield and is suggested to grow organically under semi-arid environmental conditions.

Studies on different organic modules for yield and quality of coriander ( Coriandrum sativum L . )

A field experiment on effects of different organic modules and varieties on the yield attributes, yield and quality parameters of coriander was conducted at National Research Center on Seed Spices,

Response of coriander (Coriandrum sativum) to inorganic nitrogen, farmyard manure and biofertilizer

A field experiment was carried out during winter (rabi) seasons during 2000-04 to study the response of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) to inorganic nitrogen, farmyard manure and biofertilizer at

Yield and nutritive values of different varieties of fenugreek (Trigonella spp.).

It was found that 100 g of green methi or metha can contribute substantial amount of zinc, copper, iron, manganese, phosphorus and magnesium, i.e., about 30 to 51 per cent of RDA irrespective of variety.

Genetic improvement of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) through EMS induced mutation breeding for higher seed yield under western Canada prairie conditions

This is the first report on successful use of mutation breeding for improvement in quantitative traits in fenugreek and detects new breeding material exhibiting early seed maturity coupled with high seed yield, seed quality and determinate growth habit.
