The main limits of the conventional single carrier modulation techniques are the restrictions imposed by the multipath channel, and the receiver complexity. On other hand the multicarrier techniques such as Multi-Carrier (MC) and Multi-Tone (MT) can provide high data rates at reasonable receiver complexities.
