The frequency-hopping orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) proposal, known as multiband OFDM, is a strong contender for the physical layer IEEE standard for high-rate wireless personal area networks (WPANs) bused on ultra-wideband (UWB) transmission.
