Wireless technologies are the critical components that facilitate ubiquitous communications among users, devices, and humans-machines. IEEE 802.11 is a popular wireless access technology which uses a truncated binary exponential backoff algorithm in a shared channel. But its performance deteriorates rapidly if there are numerous simultaneous active connections.
